The Red Light Therapy Revolution: A Re-Emerging Total Health Optimization Practice

Jay-Campbell-450-Pro-Trifecta-Light

It was August 24, 2023 when I sent the following message to my VIP Mastermind clients:

Monica and I just acquired a medical-grade, FDA-approved red light therapy device that increases cellulite burning, targets stubborn body fat removal, clears up skin blemishes, enhances athletic performance… I AM being literal when I say there is nothing it can’t fix or assist with as we age.

It can do all of the above (and more), all you have to do is lie down in a bed a few times every week”

After years of dismissing red light therapy as one of MANY bullshit-filled optimization scams, it is time to come clean and admit I was dead wrong.

Yours truly missed the boat because of the many fraudulent players in the biohacking space who over-saturated the field with low power devices and deliberate misinformation.

I along with many other health optimization guru you can think of were basically duped.

When we put our names behind the low powered products and barely noticed any health benefits, we were unaware of the truth.

We were NOT using medical-grade high-intensity focused red light and/or near-infrared light, and we certainly weren’t using anything remotely close to the best devices the market had to offer.

So it’s time to bring powerful clarity to the confusion and lack of awareness held by the public about red light technology (to no fault of their own).

What you’re about to read is a deeply researched, all-encompassing multiple part article about my experiences in the trenches with my newfound knowledge of “medical grade” red light therapy.

Get ready for an eye-opening experience unlike anything I’ve ever put out before.

Heads will explode and jaws will drop.

Before I start, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Dr. Carl Rothschild and Dr. Enrico Dolcecore for their generosity in guiding me through the world of red light therapy.

Their high-level technology, combined with their awe-spiring knowledge as pioneers in the niche of red light, has allowed me to write this investigative piece and the many more articles I AM going to be publishing.

I strongly recommend you give my newest podcast with Dr. Rothschild a listen because it will set the tone for the rest of this article. (Apologies for the bad audio on my end as Dr Carl’s headphones gave my voice a slight echo)

What Is Light Therapy?

Before we start talking about red light therapy, we need to travel back thousands of years to when mankind first conceived the idea of treating ailments with natural light (a.k.a. “phototherapy”):

“The earliest registered information on heliotherapy in the treatment of skin diseases comes from the fifteenth century B.C.E.

The belief in the healing properties of sunlight was associated with the ancient cult of the sun (Figure 1), where sun therapies were applied in ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Hindu medicine.

The Ebers Papyrus (c 1550 B.C.E.) recorded the treatment of vitiligo, where skin lesions were covered with Psoralen corylifolia and Ammi majus extracts and subjected to sunlight.”

We’re not quite sure what happened after that, but more serious historical digging reveals around the 1800s is when light re-emerged as a medical subject of interest:

“During the same period, exposure to the sun was indicated as a treatment for tuberculosis or for skin conditions such as lupus and eczema.

The therapeutic virtues of the sun were recognized on the psychiatric, cutaneous and immunological fields.

Sanatoria were built to benefit from natural sunlight during the late 19th century to fight the tuberculosis epidemic. Sanatoria were founded to provide patients with good food, fresh air and sunlight exposure.

Arnold Rikli, Oskar Bernhard and August Rollier were the firsts to seriously use sunlight (helio) therapy in the treatment of tuberculosis”

Things started to pick up steam when scientist Neils Finsen started studying the use of concentrated rays of artificial light for the treatment of lupus vulgaris in 1896, and seven years later he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.

This brings us to the main topic of discussion, which is photobiomodulation, a.k.a. ‘lower-level laser therapy’ (LLLT), a.k.a. ‘red light therapy’ (all three are often used interchangeably)

During the 1960s, light treatments started to employ the use of red and near-infrared wavelengths of light:

“Light treatment expanded after an incidental discovery in 1967 by Dr. Endre Mester who began to perform the first experiments using laser light to accelerate wound healing (as well as re-growing hair) in animals and patients.

This treatment effect was biphasic in nature, such that increased dosage beyond an energy threshold resulted in no further increase in healing effect.

Mester also documented a systemic effect of laser, where the stimulatory effect of the treatment could be seen in areas adjacent and remote from the point of application of the laser.”

Before we talk more about red light, it’s important to discuss why the term “LLLT” exists in the first place:

“LLLT involves exposing cells or tissue to low levels of red and near infrared (NIR) light [via nonionizing light sources like light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to exert a therapeutic benefit], and is referred to as “low level” because of its use of light at energy densities that are low compared to other forms of laser therapy that are used for ablation, cutting, and thermally coagulating tissue.

LLLT is also known as “cold laser” therapy as the power densities used are lower than those needed to produce heating of tissue.”

Let’s dive into why red light specifically holds so much importance for our overall health.

What Is Red Light?

It’s time to get deep into the nitty-gritty science of how red light is different from every other type of light.

Take a look at the picture below:

A representation of the electromagnetic spectrum, including the range of light visible to humans at wavelengths of approximately 380 - 750 nm, and near-infrared light at wavelengths of approximately 700 - 3000 nm.3

(Source)

Visible light is defined as the light that we can see with the human eye.

Red light is generally estimated to have a wavelength of 630 nanometers (nm) to 700 nm, whereas near-infrared light stays within the 720 nm to 2,500 nm range.

Let’s take a step back and define our terms:

“The wavelength is the distance between two wave crests, and it will be the same for troughs.”

“The frequency is the number of vibrations that pass over a given spot in one second, and it is measured in cycles per second (Hz) (Hertz)”

(Source)

Why does all of this matter?

I’ll talk about the importance of frequencies and pulses in a future article about red light therapy and fat loss.

But for now, know the wavelength of light therapy directly affects the depth to which the light can pierce through the outermost layer of skin:

(Source)

All of this brings us to the root question of how red light therapy can claim to be so comprehensive and simultaneously treat multiple health conditions at once.

The answer is mostly rooted in the mitochondria, of which thousands can be found in each human cell.

To put this in very simple terms without diving too deep into the biochemistry, red light penetrates the cells and is absorbed in a way that stimulates mitochondrial function:

Jcm 09 01724 g001

(Source)

“The application of red light (600–810 nm) is absorbed by the enzyme cytochrome c oxidase, which is located in the unit IV respiratory chain of the mitochondria.

Nitric oxide (NO) is then displaced and activates the enzyme and this leads to a proton gradient.

Consequently, calcium ions (Ca2+), reactive oxygen species (ROS), and ATP production levels are increased.

On the other hand, the application of near-infrared light (810–1064 nm) activates light-sensitive ion channels, and increases the levels of Ca2+. ROS and cyclic AMP (cAMP) then interact with the calcium ions.

All of these activities increase cell differentiation, proliferation and migration, among other things”

If you remember anything about mitochondrial dysfunction, it is increasingly at the root of many aging-related diseases.

So we’re not doing anything more than giving the mitochondria a “kick” to return to normal, if not a new fully optimized level of biological activity.

Notice we aren’t putting anything in the body that doesn’t belong there, nor are we removing anything from the body that is meant to be there.

Again, we’ll get into these details later when I write about targeting fat loss with red light therapy.

But in general, red light is generally better for contouring and fat loss, while near-infrared light is better for healing.

My Personal History With Red Light Therapy

My experiences with red light therapy date all the way back to 2017.

See, I was approached by an abundance of companies in this space who wanted me to be an affiliate.

They would send me devices ranging anywhere from cheap $50 trinkets to “top-of-the-line” $11,000 panels that would take up a good portion of a small room.

At one point I spent several years a proud ambassador for an A-list red light therapy company anyone in the biohacking space would instantly recognize.

But throughout my ruthless experimentation, no matter how diligent I was in doing everything to the letter… I truthfully never “felt” anything after 365 days.

Nothing stood out compared to the tried-and-true Golden Age agents such as therapeutic peptides and my “triple stack” of testosterone, Metformin, and desiccated thyroid.

It wasn’t just me — fellow influencers and my clients were all reporting minimal changes to their overall well-being in any measurable way.

Something was missing… and I’m sure you’ve had this same inner feeling if you bought an inexpensive red light therapy from Amazon or China with the expectation of life-changing benefits.

After all, that’s what we were promised, right?

Turns out our intuition was correct.

Here are some dirty and disgusting truths about red light therapy you will only learn through experience:

1 – The overwhelming majority of red light therapy devices sold to the world are (at best) low-cost, low-grade pieces of equipment that do NOT deliver the measurable results promised to consumers by slick Internet advertising and marketing campaigns.

2 – Many of the companies behind these campaigns KNOW their red light therapy devices will do sweet f*ck all, yet they continue to push them because they’re getting paid obscene fees for sponsorships and generous affiliate commissions on every sale they make.

In a way, they’re no different from the “sick care” medical system shoving toxic pharmaceutical drugs down your throat.

Due to the collective mediocre experiences accumulated by myself and many others, we have been brainwashed by so-called industry leaders and their cheap mass-marketed devices to beLIEVE red light therapy is ineffective.

We have been STARVED of high-end medical-grade red light technology delivered at insanely potent doses.

A Preview Of Super-Intense Red Light Therapy’s Power To INCINERATE Fat Cells

Everything changed for me when I managed to get my hands on the UltraSlim from WardPhotonics (after purchasing it on Ebay).

Here’s an official description of how this device works:

“The patented UltraSlim® mechanism of action delivers a unique, high-powered red light, which tricks the adipocyte into responding as if it was a time of famine.

The fat cell’s membrane is disrupted, resulting in temporary pores which allow the fat to escape.

With UltraSlim®, patients lose the fat permanently through a natural bodily function known as “lipolysis.” The contents of the fat cells are excreted primarily in the patient’s waste, as part of the body’s natural detoxification.

UltraSlim® operates at a cellular level and does not generate heat as part of the mechanism of action, but is instead part of an extremely complex, cascading photochemical mechanism”

(Don’t worry — I promise an article dedicated ONLY to red light therapy for fat loss is in the works that will go much deeper into this light-induced cascade of biological reactions)

This is not a cheap toy — I had to personally shell out $19,000 of my own cash just to find a USED unit on eBay.

What got me to make such a (seemingly) reckless purchase was when an eye surgeon responded to one of my emails promoting the upcoming release of 30 Days 2 Shredz.

He was telling me about the phenomenal results his patients were getting when fat-loss peptides were being used alongside his Trifecta Light Pro 450 bed.

After much research and consulting with other doctors, I took the plunge back into a medical niche I had long discarded as useless and over-hyped

And let me tell you… the results have absolutely blown me away.

Over the course of 14 days starting at the end of August, I had 8 sessions of red light therapy through WardPhotonics’ recommended protocol.

Hold the light 6-8 inches away from the skin and do four 8-minute mini-sessions (front lower abs, right side, lower back, left side) for a total of 32 minutes, repeated twice weekly with each 32-minute session spaced 72 hours apart.

I felt zero side effects, no pain whatsoever, no excess heat, and no unwanted muscle contractions.

When I reached the 7th day, my mid-section FINALLY got the “saran wrap” look I last had when I was a physique competitor in my 40s.

On Day 10, I was picking up Monica from the airport and she looked at me like I was a ghost.

“Dude… what the F*CK did you do to yourself!? How much weight did you lose? You look leaner AND younger!”

All of the fat on my abs, love handles, and lower back was completely gone… but the scale on the weight was exactly the same as before.

My chiropractor asked me if I was preparing for a bodybuilding competition after seeing me because the results were unbelievable.

One of my female VIP Mastermind members even noticed an immediate difference after doing one session and lost 3 pounds… she didn’t notice it until her husband pointed it out!

It was the surest sign possible from Source Consciousness to change the world of fat loss beyond anything we could have conceived of before.

I won’t spoil you with the intel I’ve gained just yet, but here’s what you can expect in my upcoming article about red light therapy for fat loss that will defrag the minds of the public biohacking community:

  • My radically ALL-NEW “Stubborn Fat Loss Eradication Protocol” for eliminating subcutaneous fat stores to become completely and totally shredded beyond belief
  • The critical difference between “emptying fat cell contents” and “killing fat cells”… one will give you the physique of a God, and the other may set you up for issues related to aging down the road
  • Why the FREQUENCY of red light you use separates high-grade red light devices from what you buy for an affordable price from a mass-market company
  • Dr. Carl Rothschild’s “magic secret sauce” protocol done after a red light therapy session that accelerates fat removal even further
  • How red light therapy, done alongside 30 Days 2 Shredz, is going to help obese AND lean people

Trust me when I say my physique has radically changed because God knows I have always “tried” everything under the sun.

My only regret is not having access to these revelations before the release of my 30 Days 2 Shredz Video Masterclass within a few days.

Combine it with red light therapy and your dreams of wanting to look magazine-ready or stage-ready will become a manifested reality in the 3D world.

Health Benefits Of Red Light Therapy

Even though I AM 100% convinced I have created the perfect fat loss vehicle through the use of a specific gradient of red light therapy, its health benefits are so much greater.

This revolutionary biotechnology will impact your well-being in incredible ways you never thought possible.

I would have to write an entire book in order to encompass the endless list of game-changing results you will get from regular exposure to high-intensity red light.

So here are some of the ones that stood out most to me.

(NOTE: Each of these benefits WILL have its own dedicated Jay Campbell article in the future… just like fat loss, you’re being served the appetizer before the mouth-watering main course)

Upregulation of Akkermansia muciniphila

In 30 Days 2 Shredz, I shared a little-known discovery about Metformin’s positive impacts on gut health.

From the book:

“People also overlook the amazing benefits Metformin has in suppressing systemic inflammation by improving the health of our microbiome.

Many people don’t know this, but Metformin has been shown in numerous peer-reviewed studies to increase production of Akkermansia muciniphila, a healthy gut bacteria responsible for dramatically cleansing our microbiome.”

A literature review published in 2022 translates the implications of this quote into plain English for the less science-inclined among us:

“A lower abundance of Akkermansia muciniphila has been associated with multiple diseases in both mouse models and in humans.

A. muciniphila has proven efficacy to improve obesity, type 2 and type 1 diabetes mellitus, hepatic steatosis, intestinal inflammation and different cancers (colon cancer, response to immune checkpoints) in mice.

A. muciniphila contributes to the maintenance of a healthy gut barrier, thereby regulating immunity, and also limits the onset of inflammation, which is the root cause of numerous diseases.”

When I was reading Illuminated Healing, Dr. Carl Rothschild’s definitive treatise on all things red light therapy, I literally fell out of my chair when I saw the following passage:

#ThereAreNOCoincidences

I have been screaming at the “Pro Science Reptilians” and their proxie slaves for decades about Metformin’s life extension properties, and now I have further confirmation of what I have known all along.

Improving Athletic Performance

Could an elite-level athlete use red light therapy to lift more, run faster for longer periods of time with less fatigue, and recover much quicker from intense bouts of exercise?

The answer is a resounding YES, according to a 2023 literature review:

“Participants, in a good state of health, and professional sports players have shown in various clinical research programs that when PBM [photobiomodulation] is used before a training session the number of repetitions performed can be increased, the time to fatigue onset can be lengthened and the peak torque can be improved.

Additionally, studies demonstrated that PBM can enhance gains in different areas of physical training abilities such as strength and cardiovascular training.

However, the specific effects that PBM produces in athletes and which benefits it can bring to different sports need to be clarified. The latest summary of research shows that the best effects of PBM therapy occur when the light is used before the exercise in direct contact with the skin using wavelengths from 655 [red light] to 950 nm [near infrared].”

To nobody’s surprise, it gives enough of an advantage to the point where Olympic athletes seriously use red light therapy to their advantage.

The real question to ask here is whether this advantage is enough to warrant a competitive ban.

And the answer is “it depends”.

If you ask the governing body of Sport Integrity Australia, they will tell you light therapies are not allowed:

“Any form of intravenous manipulation of blood or blood components by physical or chemical means is banned. An example of this is laser blood irradiation therapies.

These involve the intravenous or intravascular illumination of blood with a specific laser light. Laser light therapies are said to improve blood flow and the oxygen-transport activity of blood.

It is therefore banned at all times.”

I was unable to find any specific documentation from the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), or the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Not surprising when you consider the logistics of “testing” athletes for red light therapy use:

“If they decide it should not be allowed, they will be faced with the tricky problem of how to forensically detect if muscles have been exposed to light?

We cannot envisage a biochemical test that could be conducted on blood or urine that would conclusively detect whether muscles had been exposed to the “banned light” used in PBM.

However we believe that discussions about this issue will happen soon.”

But like I always say, if it’s ban-worthy, it must work!

Dr. Carl Rothschild highly recommends using red light therapy before an athletic bout to improve performance, and then again after the bout to accelerate recovery.

Better Sleep At Night

This is one of the few benefits where we have ample animal data and a lack of human data.

But enough is known from the decades of published research to speculate on how red light therapy can help you sleep deeper:

“It should be noted that the range of wavelengths of light considered as “photobiomodulation” (ie ~ λ = 600–1000 nm) has not been shown to suppress the brain release of melatonin, the key hormone in maintaining circadian rhythm and sleep.

In fact, these longer wavelengths have even been suggested to promote the release of melatonin, which can only be of benefit to a better night’s sleep. Further to this point, photobiomodulation has been reported to induce sleeping and prolong sleep duration in mice.

Blue light (λ = 380–500 nm), by contrast, has the reverse effect by suppressing melatonin release and prolonged night-time exposure results in a poor quality of sleep.”

This is the point where we start to see how precisely selecting the right wavelength of light can have a tremendous impact on the intended outcome.

Furthermore, the quoted paper suggests another possible mechanism where red light therapy (i.e. photobiomodulation) stimulates further clearance of toxic substances and waste products from the brain.

Myself, I’ve personally noticed my sleep improving and I have the biometrics from my Eight Sleep Pod Pro Mattress to prove it.

For three nights in a row after my first high-grade red light therapy session, my consecutive sleep times were 8h13min, 9h7min, and 8h40min.

Not to mention my resting heart rate also dropped dramatically.

Keep in mind this COULD be anecdotal due to my core biological system functioning receiving an upgrade.

And I was also using the bioregulator Pinealon at the same time.

Nevertheless, it was a major change considering I AM a very light sleeper and am always waking up 6-7 hours after I fall asleep.

Enhanced Cognition

Dr. Enrico Dolcecore brought this to my attention and said it was one of the few consistent effects reported by his patients that often gets missed by red light therapy advocates.

Here’s what he had to say to me:

“For patients who are strictly coming in for red light therapy, they are reporting better memory and less inflammation.

I’ve even seen athletes suffering from post-concussions injuries show lower brain inflammation and end up sleeping better.

And there are patients with dizziness and vertigo who are getting fantastic results without doing any other care.

With all the hormonal cascades leading to decreased inflammation, what I suspect is happening is the circadian expression of cortisol levels is becoming normalized.

This means when they wake up in the morning, they get the normal spike in cortisol. The big difference is cortisol naturally comes down around nighttime like it used to when they were 12 years old.

You would require further studies to validate this theory of mine but I wouldn’t be surprised if the studies eventually match my real-world experience.”

So we effectively have a medical-grade technology with huge potential for improving cognitive function while lessening symptoms of common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue.

While I could quote the plethora of studies with red light therapy in diseases like Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis, my real interest is in how red light therapy will help already healthy people.

Indeed, a recently published 2023 research review pops up to pique my curiosity:

Notice how all of the wavelengths used correspond specifically to near-infrared (NIR) light and not red light itself.

It seems as if the longer wavelengths are required to fully penetrate the cerebral cortex and exert the therapy’s benefits (targeting specific brain regions, allowing the mitochondria within the neural cells to absorb the light photons fully, etc.).

I hope you can start to see why even the smallest details with red light therapy can make a world of difference between success and failure.

Skin Rejuvenation

The last benefit of medical-grade red light therapy I want to highlight is the restoration of skin to its natural youthful appearance.

I personally noticed the skin blemishes, acne scars, and other unsightly discolorations on my lower back have virtually disappeared since I started using the UltraSlim.

Dr. Enrico Dolcecore backed up this finding of mine by stating he himself noticed the forehead wrinkles/creases present on his face for his entire life are GONE since using red light therapy just twice a week.

And this was on top of decreased inflammation in his jawline.

Imagine the implications this could have for plastic surgeons who deal with endless complaints of post-surgery scars and wounds from their patients!

So how could all of this be possible?

The answer is red light therapy activates multiple mechanisms at once when it penetrates the skin:

  • Simultaneously decreases the degradation of collagen while increasing collagen production for better skin laxity and wrinkle reduction
  • Treats acne vulgaris through the lowering of inflammation (although blue light itself can also be synergistic due to its anti-bacterial effects)
  • Prepares cells to fight against cytotoxicity caused by harmful UVB irradiation (DNA damage), possibly through induction of the protein ferritin for skin repair
  • Decreases the frequency of herpes virus lesions
  • “Marked repigmentation” observed in patients suffering from vitiligo
  • Lowers redness and swelling in acute sunburn

Now, before you get TOO excited, let’s clear up some misconceptions about red light therapy.

Who Is Red Light Therapy NOT Right For?

In the decades of in-person testing and studies conducted by thousands of scientists, including Drs. Dolecore and Rothschild, there has never been a side effect when high-grade red light therapy is used properly.

As Dr. Rothschild puts it:

“You are taking four elements of sunlight, magnifying them many times, eliminating anything that could be problematic (ex. UV light), and driving it into the person’s body.

The absolute worst thing that can happen to anybody is ZERO!”

However, in the interest of precaution with introducing this biotechnology to my audience, there are a few people who should probably stay away for the time being.

Pregnant Women

While there should not be any theoretical reason why a pregnant woman and her fetus won’t benefit from red light therapy, many practitioners will take the “better be safe than sorry” approach by not speeding up or manipulating any cellular processes happening in the fetus.

It’s more for the patient’s safety than anything else, although Dr. Rothschild claims red light therapy can help with post-pregnancy recovery.

Keep in mind there is a legal aspect to this as well.

If the child comes out as anything other than normal, it is blood in the water for money-hungry attorneys who would love the opportunity to sue the life out of a red light therapy practitioner.

Cancer Patients

Again, this is also a precautionary measure enacted for the same reason as pregnant women.

While studies don’t show any harm to cancer patients, many doctors and chiropractors are risk-averse to stimulating a cancer patient’s mitochondria into doing something silly via enhanced ATP production.

Because when you go back to the possibility of attorneys coming after you, they will look for any reason to explain why a tumor “suddenly appeared.”

You will normally see red light therapy clinics recommend a patient’s cancer to be in full remission for one year before they are cleared to start treatment.

(And yes, both doctors have had breast cancer patients on their red light therapy beds without any problems whatsoever)

Patients With Certain Bodily Implants

As with the previous two conditions, more of a cover-your-ass move than anything else.

Any red light therapy bed owner must be cautious when a patient has any metal replacement, pacemaker, defibrillator, or other device implanted inside of them.

You want to avoid heating the filaments and/or disrupting any electrical conductivity.

This should not happen because red light will not penetrate deep enough to do either of these things.

However, you must be aware many of these patients are often fragile individuals in catastrophic conditions, and so they require an extra pair of eyes.

If they have an “event” in your red light therapy setup before the device is even turned on, you take 100% of the blame and will spend days under litigious observation.

But this has not been a problem so far for Dr. Rothschild, as evidenced by the testimonial left by Arnett:

People Who DO NOT Love And Trust Themselves

You knew this one was coming.

There will ALWAYS be a handful of people who do not follow the program prescribed to them by the red light therapy clinic they visit.

Red light therapy is NOT going to work for you if you go home after your treatment and wolf down a bag of Doritos and 2 liters of Mountain Dew while lying down on the couch all night.

People who do not have love and trust for themSELVES will eventually end up engaging in self-sabotage.

No amount of Golden Age agents or devices in the world will help someone who is not ready to help themselves.

Plus these red light therapy practitioners are much smarter than you think… by the 3rd or 5th visit, it will become obvious you have fallen way off track.

And one final note: Red light therapy is NOT a substitute for getting natural exposure to sunlight every day!

How To Maximize Your Success With Red Light Therapy

Before I wrap up this article and point you to my endorsed sources of red light therapy, I want to provide two helpful tips for guaranteeing you 100x your investment and time.

Get Your Blood Work Done

As much as I hate being pointlessly obsessed over data points, I AM a stickler for evidence and real-world results.

I highly recommend you get your blood work done before starting red light therapy and after you are done with your course of treatment (usually 2-3 months).

If you intend to treat a specific issue and you KNOW there are certain biomarkers corresponding to said issue, it is imperative to get data points you can refer back to.

A therapeutic treatment as revolutionary as red light therapy cannot be done half-assed.

You may also notice certain “surprise” changes you didn’t anticipate, so be on the lookout for those.

My #1 recommendation for blood work is Private MD Labs (use JAYC for 15% off).

Keep A Journal Of Your Treatment Protocol And Any Results You Notice

Continuing on the theme of what gets measured will get managed and improved upon, you want to be cognizant of exactly what you’re doing with red light therapy.

Take a look at the sample planner below:

Red light and fitness trackers

(Source)

Granted, it is an amateur journal not worth your money.

But I AM in agreement with tracking critical parts of your red light therapy treatments.

For example, suppose you were getting treated for the sole purpose of fat loss:

  • What parts of your body did you expose in this session?
  • What wavelength(s) were you exposed to?
  • For how long were you exposed to red light and/or near infra-red light
  • What were your body measurements before the session (scale weight, waist/belly/hip circumference, etc.)?
  • What were your body measurements after the session?
  • What are your measurements compared to when you first started red light therapy?
  • What are your measurements (insert time interval here) after you have stopped using red light therapy?

Don’t worry if this all seems overwhelming.

My coming article on red light therapy and fat loss will walk you through this step-by-step!

The ONLY Two Books Worth Reading About Red Light Therapy

I couldn’t possibly sit here and tell you every single niche detail about red light therapy without writing my own book.

So I scoured the entire Internet and literally purchased any and every book published on the subject.

As you can imagine, 99% were full of filler crap you could find on the Internet for free and it became obvious these people had ZERO clue what they were talking about.

Which makes it infinitely easier to recommend just two books to become a subject matter expert on red light therapy.

BOOK #1: The Ultimate Guide To Red Light Therapy – Ari Whitten

Ari Whitten of The Energy Blueprint is a close friend of mine who I have done a podcast with in the past.

What makes Ari’s book stand out from the rest of the competition (which you can purchase here) is he was sounding the alarm in 2018 about the majority of red light therapy devices being hot garbage:

“You might also be thinking: ‘There are lots of red LED lights for sale on Amazon and eBay that claim to have health benefits…so how do I know which devices work best and which device I should get?’

There are indeed hundreds of different red and near-infrared light devices for sale online—devices for the face, hair, tendons, and more.

Here’s the crucial piece of information you need to know: Virtually ALL of these devices—even the ones that cost hundreds of dollars— are grossly underpowered, too small, and ultimately, ineffective or very time-consuming to use, or both.”

Having a high-quality device that emits the right wavelength of red light and/or near-infrared at the right pulsar frequency with the right diodes is expensive — it takes money to deliver the kind of power required to confer the health benefits (and many more) discussed in this article.

If you want to get a cheap knock-off device, the only person being “knocked” is you!

My only gripe with the book is the verbose technical language used to explain how red and near-infrared light therapy work in the human body.

Even for someone like me who is a highly educated reader, you may find yourself reading certain passages a few times before they start to click.

If nothing else, make sure you read the chapters “Guide to Red Light Therapy Dosing” and “The Ultimate Guide to Choosing a Red/NIR Light Therapy Device”.

Skip his recommended lights because I have that handled for you at the end of this article.

BOOK #2: Illuminated Healing – Dr. Carl Rothschild

Dr. Carl Rothschild released his definitive treaty on red light therapy just a few months ago and my mind was BLOWN!

In my opinion, he did a better job of talking about how you can modulate the technology with clean living and healthy lifestyle habits.

It is by far the more accessible book out of the two with respect to explaining basic concepts and discussing the studies empirically proving the world-shattering value red light therapy provides.

My head was SPINNING when I read the weight loss chapter, which by itself was worth the purchase price.

I’ll tease you even further and provide some of my highlighted notes:

“Exposing fat cells to red light can stimulate the production of the enzyme lipase, which breaks down fats into small molecules (i.e.more easily metabolized by the body). This process ENHANCES lipolysis which results in the release of fatty acids and glycerol which is then used as fuel (especially during fasting) or excreted as waste (dead senescent cells and tiny little bits of fecal matter)”

“RLT [red light therapy] influences adipokines, hormones produced by adipocytes that regulate metabolism. RLT decreases the expression of adipokines such as LEPTIN (lower levels of LEPTIN reduce hunger and increase satiety). Additionally, RLT increases the expression of adiponectin a hormone involved in insulin sensitivity. Elevated adiponectin levels also enhance glucose uptake by the cells, reducing insulin resistance and increasing fat reduction”

“RLT is particularly beneficial when combined with regular exercise as the released fat (from RLT enhancing lipolysis (thru increasing lipase) can be readily burned/utilized during physical activity. Especially during steady state cardio while undergoing extended periods of fasting”

What Red Light Therapy Devices Can You Trust?

There’s no way in hell I would be writing an article about red light therapy unless I could direct you to the best medical-grade machines available.

Whether you are a chiropractor, a clinician, or even an elite-level biohacker who is financially well-off, this Golden Age tech is one of the most amazing, all-empowering and encompassing things a human can do to ameliorate pain, suppress inflammation, and eviscerate body fat.

As much as I don’t want to throw any more shade on the red light therapy industry than I already have, many providers do not have the biophotonic setup needed to maximize the absorption of high-intensity red or near-infrared light into your body.

Yes, you can read good things about devices such as the NovoThor and the Theralight 360 Pro Bed, but I haven’t touched those and cannot comment further.

What I AM willing to do, however, is talk about the two I have personally used and tested on myself with mind-blowing outcomes.

Both of these are FDA-registered noninvasive devices designed to give you the best red light therapy the world currently has to offer.

DEVICE #1: The UltraSlim From WardPhotonics

I AM heavily biased toward this device as it is the first serious medical-grade red light therapy product I have ever touched.

In full disclosure, I had been using it for a few weeks before I was introduced to the device I’m about to discuss next.

This bad boy is the SH*T for fat loss… if your lifestyle is fully dialed in and you use this for 20 minutes a day, you’ll get so lean people will think you’re ill.

Even without changing my diet or my training, I saw more of a physical transformation in one week than I ever did in years with any other red light therapy device I ever used in my entire life.

It’s no wonder why clinics that house an UltraSlim device will usually charge $500-600 per 30-40 minute session… while targeting overweight folks but rarely if ever biohackers.

The only real downside I can think of is being set at a wavelength of 635nm (i.e. mostly immediate adipose reduction), which means it can’t tap into the longer near-infrared wavelengths used for deeper bodily healing of more severe health conditions.

But given my original aim with red light therapy was pure fat loss and mitochondrial optimization, you won’t see me complaining anytime soon.

DEVICE #2: The Pro 450 Bed From Trifecta Light Technologies

The grand-daddy of red light therapy himself, Dr. Carl Rothschild of Trifecta Light Technologies, comes out with the literal Rolls-Royce to put all other devices to shame.

I had the opportunity to recently get under this monster thanks to Dr. Enrico Dolcecore of Full Life Chiropractic:

This was the invention that changed the game for high-grade red light therapy forever.

In all his 45 years of practicing, the bed is what took Dr. Rothschild’s patient testimonials from “Oh it was nice” to “Thank you for giving me my life back”.

Here are just some of the many reasons why this bed is IMO, the best product on the market right now:

  • Fold-over canopy sits at the perfect distance between the patient’s body area(s) and the top panel of LEDs for maximum treatment intensity
  • The top and bottom LEDs can be separately controlled for more selective exposure to red/near-infrared light depending on the desired application
  • 4700 LEDs make up the top and bottom parts of the bed, with each LED guaranteed 100,000 hours of warranty while emitting an impressive 3000 mW of power
  • The LEDs emit low levels of heat to eliminate the risk of burns
  • Up to 150 mW/cm2 of irradiance power
  • Extensive coverage area allows for more parts of your body to be treated at the same time (just lie down and the best does the rest, no need to move)
  • The highly advanced cooling system prevents overheating (heat dilates the blood vessels, brings more fluid to the skin surface and blocks light penetration)
  • Targeted wavelengths of 2 red and 2 near-infrared wavelengths ensure the most diverse range of therapeutic benefits can be provided (collagen production, inflammation reduction, pain relief, muscle recovery, fat loss, etc.)
  • The intensity, duration, and frequency of the red light emitted are all completely customizable for individual preferences and different treatment modalities

Don’t believe me?

Head on over to Trifecta Light’s YouTube channel and tell me those same outcomes would be possible with the dinky toy you bought from an e-commerce store.

As a reader of mine, I AM giving you the opportunity to locate the closest clinic housing a Trifecta Pro 450 Bed… or even get one yourself!

Trifecta Light’s VP of Sales, Meredith Nichols, will get in touch to discuss the opportunities available to you.

“What If They’re Too Expensive To Own, Or Sign Up For A Treatment Plan From A Provider?”

As you can imagine, getting the RIGHT kind of red light therapy is not going to be a cheap endeavor.

You are going to be paying a lot with the expectation you are going to get a lot out of it (even if the return can’t be quantified in numbers).

I would implore you to shift your mindset towards the realization you are gaining access to a Ferrari racing at breakneck speeds.

But as Dr. Rothschild told me, it’s NOT about what someone can afford; it’s what they are willing to prioritize and what they believe is important to them.

He himself has a bed in his home, just for him, because his health is an absolute priority at 71 years young and quality of life is more important than longevity of life.

Ask yourself, ‘What is most important to my highest SELF?”

You are nothing if you do not have your health.

As I also said in my upcoming 30 Days 2 Shredz Video Masterclass releasing next week:

“In your life, if you can’t afford to spend $4k-10k on your health a year, it’s not that you are poor, but your principles are inverted”

CONCLUSION: Red Light Therapy Is Officially Back In Business!

This is the beginning of a fully optimized health revolution where everyone finally gets a chance to sit at the big boy’s table.

The true fountain of youth has been re-discovered from the ashes and I AM handing you the Holy Grail of transformation in an elixir.

Whether you already have an issue or want to make sure you never have one, all you have to do is “just get in the bed”.

Six visits are all you need to see a small tight at the end of the tunnel, and maybe 12 in the absolute worst case for metabolically inflamed dumpster fires.

What could possibly go wrong?

It’s time to start changing the 3rd Density Earth and medical grade red light therapy is a truly optimal way to help everyone on their path to ascending, i.e. graduating from this dimension.

As always…
